A Year in the Making: Miss S’s Boudoir Session & Her Journey to Self-Love
“I just did a session with Kristen yesterday. OMG it was amazing. She started out by making me look fabulous with her make-up skills. Then, throughout the session, she gave me easy to follow directions on how to pose to look amazing. She is so kind and understanding, even being flexible with timing when needed. I loved my session and definitely wouldn't hesitate to do it in the future. If you're debating whether you should do this, you definitely should, and definitely do it with Kristen. You won't regret it.”
Some moments in life are worth the wait—Miss S’s boudoir session was one of them.
She first inquired about booking over a year ago, excited but waiting for the perfect time. And in that time, something incredible happened—she welcomed her second miracle baby into the world. This session became more than just a photoshoot; it was a celebration of everything she had been through, the strength she carried, and the woman she had become.
The night before her session, Miss S sent me the sweetest message, asking what kind of drink I’d like before we started. That level of thoughtfulness? Unmatched. The next morning, she arrived with my drink in hand, and during our lunch break, I returned the favor with a smoothie for her. These small, simple moments set the tone for what was already destined to be a special day.
As she sat in my hair and makeup chair, we talked about everything—motherhood, the wild and unexpected twists our careers had taken, and how life never quite goes the way we thought it would back in high school. It turns out we grew up in the same area and graduated from the same school—how crazy is that?
Then, Miss S stepped in front of the camera, and she owned every moment. She chose three brand-new, never-before-worn pieces from the client closet and absolutely rocked them. She moved with confidence, took direction effortlessly, and radiated the kind of beauty that comes from knowing just how far you’ve come.
And when she saw her images? She felt it, too. She upgraded her album to include another 10 images and got her full gallery. This session wasn’t just about pretty pictures—it was about honoring the woman she is today, a woman who has carried life, overcome challenges, and still finds time to pour love into others (seriously, she brought me a drink!).
I’m endlessly grateful when clients allow me to share even a glimpse of their experience because I know how powerful it is for other women to see and say, I want to do this for myself.
Miss S, thank you for trusting me, for sharing your journey, and for reminding me why boudoir is about so much more than just the photos. It’s about transformation, healing, and stepping into your power.
If you’ve been waiting for the right time—this is your sign. Let’s create something golden together. ✨
